Elizabeth Hayward - Brewer

After several years she was promoted to working in the field of cash management. In her early banking career she worked for 8 years for a state chartered bank that later became a national bank before transitioning to grow and develop cash management departments for two local banks over the following 12 year period. In these roles she managed and developed a team of cash management specialists and worked one on one with clients helping them to improve operating efficiencies leveraging technology, reduce interest expense, and increase interest income. Beth later worked in the investment and insurance industry after receiving her Securities and Exchange Series 7 stock broker and insurance producer licenses for a number of years before starting her own business. She owned and operated several Bangor companies for a period of five years. Since joining Machias Savings Bank in 2009, Beth served in the role of Vice President of Deposits, educating and supporting retail and business banking officers with deposit growth. She also served as Retail Branch Administrator overseeing the operations and growth of 13 branches along with the customer service department. Beth joined the Business Banking team where she combines her expertise in cash management, her experience as a business owner and her penchant for delivering exceptional customer service to help her customer navigate their banking needs. She takes great pride in the cultivation of new banking relationships and strives to go above and beyond to support the needs of her existing customers. Beth enjoys leveraging her knowledge and experience as well as her peers' expertise to support the needs of business owners, non-profits, and government agencies. She has an expertise in subsidized and low income housing projects as well as serving the needs of all types of businesses regardless of their industry. Beth is active in the community serving as Board Chairperson for Bangor Housing Development Corporation, the Board of Deacons for All Souls Congregational Church and prior Co-Chair for their annual fundraiser. Nicki came to Machias Savings Bank with over 18 years of banking experience primarily in Government Banking. She is a veteran of the United States Army and the Maine Army National Guard, having attained the rank of Sergeant. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from the University of Maine at Farmington and is a member of TriBeta, a National Biological Honor Society. Nicki is on the Board of Directors for Jobs for Maine’s Graduates (JMG) and is a Governor-appointed Commissioner for the Maine Commission for Community Service.
